Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. hit the scale 2.4 pounds overweight Friday and had to surrender $100,000 to Anderson Silva because of it.

Now, we'll find out what transpires in the ring Saturday night, when Chavez Jr. clashes with the former UFC champion at Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico, and live on pay-per-view. The event, which is being billed as a Tribute to the Kings, will also feature a special exhibition bout between Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. and Hector Camacho Jr., who is the son of late boxer Hector Camacho.

Chavez Jr. has had weight problems on the scale before, dating back to September 2013, but it remains to be seen if his latest infraction will have any impact against Silva due to a lopsided experience edge. Chavez enters the bout, having fought 59 pro fights to Silva's 1-1 record in the boxing ring. Silva, an undoubted MMA legend, has recorded finishes with his hands in the Octagon before, but this is pure sweet science, so we'll see how he fares.

Chavez Jr., 35, bounced back from two straight losses with a fourth-round TKO of Jeyson Minda in November. Silva, 46, lost a fourth-round TKO (punches) to Uriah Hall in October — his last time out — but that was in the Octagon. The last time Silva had a pro boxing bout was back in August 2005, when he recorded a second-round KO of fellow Brazilian Julio Cesar de Jesus.

Boxing legend Chavez Sr., 58, defeated Camacho by unanimous decision back in September 1992, so Camacho Jr., 42, will be looking to avenge that loss.

Will Chavez Jr. be able to use his boxing experience to dominate Silva? Will things quickly get heated between Chavez Sr. and Camacho Jr. despite this being a special exhibition bout?
